Safety Assessor / Founder of CosmetoSAFE Consulting
In his work, the Safety Assessor combines key competences: chemist, toxicologist and cosmetologist, thanks to which the cosmetic safety assessment developed by CosmetoSAFE is multi-faceted and reliable.
Expert in safety assessment, toxicologist, founder of CosmetoSAFE Consulting and creator of the CosmetoSAFE Assist platform. She specializes in cosmetic product toxicology, risk analysis, and safety assessment of ingredients and finished formulations. For years, she has been supporting manufacturers, distributors, and laboratories in meeting cosmetic regulatory requirements in Poland and the European Union. Her experience includes both industry collaboration and academic and teaching activities. She is not only the founder of CosmetoSAFE Consulting, but also the originator and leader of the development of CosmetoSAFE Assist – the first tool in Poland for automating the work of R&D departments and ensuring compliance of cosmetic documentation.

Thanks to this platform, which combines toxicological expertise with modern IT solutions, it is possible to:

  • automatically generate Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR),

  • manage data on ingredients and raw materials,

  • quickly verify formula compliance with legal regulations,

  • and optimize the process of creating Product Information Files (PIF).

Iwona’s work focuses on supporting innovation in the beauty sector – not only through expert knowledge, but also by implementing solutions that genuinely shorten time-to-market for products and simplify the daily work of cosmetic technologists.

Chemist – graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology. Toxicologist – completed specialization conducted by the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Lodz, specialist title in the field of toxicology (no. 014/2018.2/183), obtained in the full mode specified by the Minister of Health. Cosmetologist – stubbornly fighting cosmetic myths and always paying attention to the actual properties of cosmetics, not promises. She is constantly developing, taking part in specialist courses for safety assessors, such as:

  • Safety Assessment of Cosmetics in the EU organized by the Brussels Vrije Universiteit,
  • courses conducted by German industry associations (DGK – German Society for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics and IKW – German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association).

Since 2018, she has held the title of DGK Safety Assessor. She constantly monitors legal changes regarding the cosmetics industry in Poland and Europe. She follows trends and new possibilities of cosmetics research. Author of numerous industry publications and congress/conference presentations.
